Audrey Eva Hendricks, Gig Harbor, WA June 23, 1927 to March 16, 2021 Audrey E Hendricks, born June 23, 1927 in Seattle, WA to Claude and Bernice McReynolds, passed away on March 16, 2021 at the age of 93 years. Audrey spent most of her childhood in the Seattle area, graduating from Lincoln High School. Over the course of her working career, she had the opportunity to work in a variety of places including an optometrist, dentist, lawyer, Fredrick & Nelson, Washington Federal Savings and Loan, HW Black Stock, their construction companies Argus & Factory Crafted Structures, Stanley Garage Doors, and Roger Overson Construction. At the age of 72, she decided to retire. She was involved with Garden Clubs in Kent and Allyn, Book Clubs, Red Hat Society, Bunco groups, and volunteered with the Ski Patrol for 30 years. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Federal Way and North Bay Lutheran Community Church in Allyn, WA. She met her lifetime love in junior high, Robert B. Hendricks. They married on November 10, 1946 and lived in Seattle, Enumclaw, Kent, and Allyn, WA. For the past 7 years, Audrey lived in Gig Harbor at the Lodge at Mallard’s Landing, where she developed some very special friends that will miss her lively spirit. Audrey’s love of her life, Robert, preceded her death on May, 17, 2010. Audrey is survived by her children Judy Moody (Bill), Sumner, WA; Brad Hendricks (Christy), Federal Way, WA; Cathy Virnoche (Larry), Belfair, WA; Mike Hendricks (Cindy), Leavenworth, WA. Her grandchildren, Mark (Russ), Doug (Jenn), Laura (Beau), Jennifer (Scott), Kellie, John (Miranda). Her great-grandchildren, Emily, William, Blake, Taylor, Kai, Bella, Clara, Graham, and Fisher. Audrey was truly a strong, resilient and resourceful woman, may she be remembered with love. A virtual memorial will be held April 24, 2021, 11:00 am PST.
