Audrey Lampe
June 6th, 1930 - July 18th, 2021
91, passed away peacefully on July 18th, 2021 at Tidewater Hospice in Bradenton. She was predeceased by her husband Russell and her brothers Elliott, Stuart, and Langdon Jr. Audrey is survived by brothers Craig and Dwight and her children Doug (Christina), Don (Amy), Dean, Deborah and her two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rachel. She was born in 1923 in Westfield, Massachusetts and moved with her family to Seminole, Florida in 1948. She received an associate degree from St. Petersburg Junior College in 1951 and married Russell Lampe in 1953. In 1972 she received a bachelor's degree of English Education from USF and became a teacher in the Pinellas County School System. Her favorite experiences were spending time with family at the "Lampe Camp" on a mountain lake in Maine where she enjoyed picking blueberries, swimming, playing Scrabble and campfires. She loved the nature and wildlife of Maine including moose, deer, chipmunks and the call of the loons at night. After her school teaching career and raising her children Audrey sought out volunteer opportunities. For twenty plus years she was a beloved volunteer for the American Stage Company and Pasadena Community Church. Audrey also enjoyed attending Kiwanis meetings with Doug and Russell and contributed regularly to the Club's Scholarship programs. She will be incredibly missed by her family and friends and will forever be in our hearts and minds. The Lampe Family requests that in lieu of flowers donations in Audrey's name be made to the Pasadena Community United Methodist Church, 227 - 70th Street S., St. Petersburg, Fl 33707 or the Kiwanis Club of St. Petersburg, P.O. Box 12686, St. Petersburg, Fl 33733. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 28th, 4:00 p.m. in the Goodwin Chapel at the Pasadena Community United Methodist Church, St. Petersburg.
