Audrey Lenore Malasky will always be Mrs. Merker to me, a 2nd mom, neighbor, my mom's friend and the best stand-in a little girl could ever want. When I close my eyes I'm at the kitchen table waiting for the hot dogs to boil, down by the piano or in the backyard. Wherever, Mrs. Merker taught me about grace under pressure and the fact that unconditional love isn't solely for family. I love her today as much as I did decades ago. And I'm so grateful she didn't stop at two boys. Sure Bob and Steve are great but I can't imagine life without Gail. I hope Shirley greeted her with a hug, and they're dancing the night away. She left such love and pride; Mrs. Merker made the world a better place. You're a part of my past that I cherish. I love and miss you. ❤️
