Audrey W Rosenberg
March 19th, 1954 - March 9th, 2022
Audrey Wynne Roseberg, 67, passed away on March 9, 2022 at home with her beloved husband by her side. Audrey was born on March 19, 1954 to Ralph and Hannah Rosenberg in Newark, New Jersey. After graduating from Jackson Memorial High School, she went on to earn a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from Trenton State College. Audrey taught at Toms River North High School in New Jersey for 25 years. Because of her excellent teaching skills and wonderful personality, she was loved and appreciated by so many students. In 1990 Audrey started dating the love of her life, Michael Bandera, and married thereafter. In 2000 their love of sailing sparked the creation of their successful business, Barnegat Bay Sailing School. They also became snowbirds in 2004 when they purchased a house in St. Petersburg. Retiring from teaching in 2004, she was able to spend extra time doing the things she loved including golfing, yoga, reading, knitting baby blankets, playing her ukulele, kayaking, sailing, and playing games and traveling with her MahJongg ladies. Audrey and Mike shared over 30 years together filled with love, laughter, and traveling to many exotic places in the world. Always being concerned about the environment, she and Mike volunteered at the Tampa Bay Watch and Fort DeSoto, while their love of arts brought them to volunteer at the Mahaffey Theater, Dali museum, and the Palladium Theater. Audrey and Mike were each other's soul mates and did most things together. Her spirited demeanor and beautiful smile graced everyone she met and will be remembered by everyone who was blessed to know her. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Hannah Rosenberg. She is survived by her husband Michael Bandera and her sister Gail Rosenberg along with many loving extended family members. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tampa Bay Watch.
