Augustine Martinez

Augustine Martinez, born August 13th, 1953 in Durango, Co., passed away March 31, 2022, in Albuquerque, NM. Augustine resided in Durango at an early age before moving to Albuquerque as a young man. Augustine got hired at Jack B. Henderson Construction as a laborer and eventually became a heavy equipment operator. Augustine dedicated 43 years of service with JBH and was the longest standing employee with his company. In Albuquerque, Augustine met his wife, Bernadette Herrera, and they married in 1983. Augustine and Bernadette stayed married for the duration of their lives, 38yrs. Augustine is survived by his two children, Bernadine Deleon and Joey Martinez. Grandfather to five children; Jadon Martinez, David Deleon, Ben Deleon, LeeAnn Martinez and Maverick Martinez. Augustine's parents were Joe Sylvian Martinez and Estephanita Martinez. There was a total of eleven siblings including Augustine; Betty Pano, Marylou Eden, Joe Martinez, Darlene Tura, Mario Martinez, Rick Martinez, Caroline Martinez, Sylvia Martinez, and Joseph Martinez. His parents are Joe Sylviano Martinez and Estephanita Martinez. Please join the family of Augustine in remembering and celebrating his life. Augustine's funeral services will be held at Riverside Funeral Home located at 225 San Mateo Blvd NE at 9:00am. The burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 934 Menaul Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be Rick Martinez, Mario Martinez, Joe Martinez, Bryan Martinez, Joey Martinez, and Nate Segura.
