Augustus Alden Olsen

Augustus Alden Olsen was born in Bangor Maine on October 10, 1942. He suffered a heart attack on Sunday, January 31, 2021. At age 18 Alden joined the Air Force. He served from approximately1960 thru 1980. Alden volunteered to serve in Viet Nam in the late 60’s. He was stationed at Phu Cat Air Force Base in southern Viet Nam. Alden loved to see the world and was stationed in Germany, the Azores, Viet Nam, Alaska, and various other places. We always enjoyed the stories he told about the countries he visited. While on leave, he would visit his family members even though we were spread out across the country, from Maine, Maryland, Ohio, Iowa and California. Alden was the youngest of seven brothers and sisters. His ashes will be interred at the Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell, Florida. There will be a private memorial service for family and friends at a later date. Alden, we will miss you more than you could ever know.
