Austin Dean Couch
September 9th, 1994 - April 6th, 2019
Austin Dean Couch, age 24, passed away on April 6, 2019, surrounded by family at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. From his birth in Portsmouth, Virginia, on September 9, 1994, to his death on Saturday he nourished those around him with kindness, love, compassion, and an infectious laugh. Austin was born to Bobby Dean Couch and Nikki Michelle (Miner) Couch and was the eldest of three children. He enjoyed reading, riding his longboard, a good game of chess, a lousy game of golf, and listening to stand-up comedy. After graduating from William J. Palmer high school, Austin began his career as a chef at the Greenline Grill. He loved working with his father and helping to build a thriving family business. He was a devoted son and truly cherished time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a bright shining light. Survived by father Bobby, mother Nikki, step-mother Ana (Weiner) Couch, sister Caitlin Elizabeth Couch, brother Ian Neal Couch, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents Earl Henry Miner and Connie Kay (Schade) Miner. Austin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Earl Dean Couch and Margaret Patricia (Barr) Baustert. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Cappadona Funeral Home, 1020 E. Filmore St., Colorado Springs, CO. 80907. A gathering will follow the memorial at the American Legion Hall, 634 Manitou Ave., Manitou Springs, CO. 80829 to share a meal and our favorite stories of such a remarkable young man. Please wear a bit of orange, as this was his favorite color. Austin will be interred at Evergreen Cemetery in a private ceremony on a later date. "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."- Helen Keller Service Information Celebration of Life Sunday April 14, 2019 1:00 PM Cappadona Funeral Home 1020 E.
