December 19th, 1934 - August 25th, 2016
Avery F. Barrier (81) of Greensboro NC passed away peacefully on August 25th at home with loved ones by his side. A funeral service will be held Wednesday August 31, 2016, 2pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Avery was born in 1934 in Burke County, NC. He spent over 50 years in the printing industry which included being the proprietor of Teco Printing and Eastern Equipment Companies. He was a dedicated businessman developing numerous relationships along the way. He will be missed by family and friends as well as anyone who had the privilege and honor to meet him. He now resides at his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior. Survived by wife Carolyn M. Hargett Barrier of the home; sisters Christine Barrier Woodie of Charlotte NC, and Phyllis Barrier Brown of Seattle, WA and brother Douglas Barrier of Spartanburg, SC, Son Randy Barrier and wife Martha of High Point; Max Hargett (JoEllen), Jerry Hargett (Glenda), Ginger H. Osborne (Richard). Grandchildren: Randall Barrier (Claire), Tyler Barrier (Brandon); John Hargett ( Anna), Adam Hargett (Alison), Alison Campbell (Cody), Billy Smith (Blair), Sandra Smith (Jeremiah), Jeri Smith. Great Grandchildren: Reid, McKenzy, Jack, Henry, Elise, Meredith, Claire, Hailey, Sophie, Holden, Jaylen. Predeceased by mother Tessie Grindstaff Barrier, father Ernest F. Barrier, step-mother Hessie Dula Bennett Barrier, brother Ernest E. Barrier and sister Francis Rector Barrier. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1pm until 2pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made to www.lambethtroxler.com
