Baltazar Garza, 92, beloved husband and father died, Thursday April 17, 2014, peacefully in his home surrounded by his wife and family. Baltazar was born in Santa Catalina, Nuevo Leon, Mexico July 1, 1921 to Rafael Garza and Perfecta Martinez. Baltazar and his wife, Maria Luisa Castillo, lived in San Juan, Texas; he worked for the Iverson Feedlot in Alamo, Texas for 20 years. They had six children: Gabriel Guadalupe, Salvador, Rosalinda, Gabriel, Rolando and Baltazar Jr. They moved to Idaho in May of 1964, and made it their home. For the next 26 years, he worked for the Golden Farms of Notus and then the Amalgamated Sugar Company, Nampa, Idaho, until 1996 when he retired. He enjoyed gardening, family parties, BBQs and listening to Norteno music. Baltazar is survived by his wife of 67 years, Maria Castillo Garza, five children Salvador (Rosemary) Garza, Rosalinda (Jim) Watson, Gabriel Garza, Rolando (Bertha) Garza, and Baltazar (Rachel) Garza Jr.; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents, son Gabriel Guadalupe, and grandchildren Esther Garza and Moses Garza. We Love You And You Will Be Missed! A viewing will be held Tuesday April 22, 2014 from 5:00-8:00PM with Rosary Recital at 7:00PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday April 23, 2014, at 11:00AM, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Caldwell. Interment will follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell. Service Information
