Barbara Johnson Barnett
August 27th, 1925 - September 12th, 2014
Barbara Johnson Barnett, 89, of Yuba City, CA, passed away on September 12, 2014. She was born on August 27, 1925, in Marysville, CA. Barbara attended Marysville High School. She met and married Charles Barnett in 1943 while he was stationed at Camp Beale. She was a charter member of the Gamma Chapter of Alpha Sigma and she loved the charity work and fun times shared with these wonderful ladies. Barbara and Chuck were members of Peach Tree Country Club where they spent many fun, and sometimes frustrating, hours playing golf together and with their golf pals. They loved to travel and took many interesting trips to the far corners of the world. Barbara had a passion for playing games and cherished the friendships she made while playing bridge and dominoes. Barbara and Chuck were also members of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church and the family asks that remembrances be sent to St. Andrew Church at 1390 Franklin Road, Yuba City, CA 95993. Survivors include son, Chuck Barnett (Debbie), of Sonora; son, Rick Barnett (Sue), of Chico; daughter, Janet Van Sicklen (Jim), of Sacramento; grandchildren, Matthew and Aaron Barnett, Amy Fadeji (Tayo) and Joe Barnett, and Laura and Michele Perry. Preceded by her beloved husband, Charles Barnett. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Chris Kersting officiating. Private Inurnment at Sutter Cemetery.
