Barbara Bridget Bradbury
October 4th, 1943 - December 9th, 2016
My Life Story Barbara “Bridget” Bradbury was born in Boise, Idaho on October 4, 1943 and sadly departed this world on December 9, 2016 to spend eternity with her mother and father in heaven. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Boise and St. Gertrude’s Academy in Cottonwood, Idaho. In 1961 Bridget moved to Stockton, California to live with her brother, Richard, and help with his growing family. She attended Merrit College in Oakland where she became a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She worked at Mt. Diablo Hospital in Concord, California for six years. When her father, Allen Bradbury died in 1973, she moved back to Boise to be with her mother, Agnes ‘Aggie’ Burns Bradbury. She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in the pediatrics Department, then for the Idaho State Tax Commission. In 1982 she went to work for Hewlett Packard, retiring in 1998 after 16 years. Aggie and Bridget had a healthy social life including belonging to a championship bowling league and volunteering by baking and cooking for church events. Bridget was the Peter Pan of the family, entertaining us all with her goofy sense of humor and eagerness to be at the center of all celebrations! It was never a party until Bridget and her infectious enthusiasm showed up! After attending to her mother in her final years by caring for her at home, Bridget was able to pursue her lifelong dream of travel. She visited Italy, Yugoslavia and Venezuela with her church group. She treasured those trips and was disappointed when her health prevented her from continuing. Bridget loved flowers and always had a colorful garden full of roses and summer annuals and her famous tomatoes which she tended to with patience and skill. She liked to do needlework and crochet. She made baby blankets for all of her grand nieces and nephews which are treasured to this day! She is survived by her brother Richard Bradbury and his wife, Sarah “Sally”; 4 nieces, 1 nephew and 14 grand nieces and nephews. Bridget’s family and friends are grateful for the opportunity to have known such a vivacious, fun loving spirit. Her infectious giggle will forever ring in their ears! Celebration of Mass will be at St. Mark’s Catholic Community on Thursday, December 22nd . A Rosary will be at 10:00 AM with the Mass beginning at 11:00 AM. Lunch will follow in the dining room. Private interment will be at Dry Creek Cemetery. Please visit Bridget’s webpage at www.AccentFuneral.com to leave memories and condolences for the family. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Idaho Humane Society or St. Luke’s Hospice.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
