"South Hadley-Barbara A. (Harvey) Bridgman, 87, passed away August 5, 2012 at Wingate in West Springfield. Born June 28, 1925 in Northampton, she was a loving and devoted daughter to Locharles (Werner) Harvey. Barbara has lived in S.Hadley since 2002, previously of Yarmouthport, MA, Martinsville, VA and Southampton, MA. She was a librarian for Southampton and Martinsville Library along with Falmouth and Hyannis Library. Barbara was an avid reader and loved reading to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her devoted husband of 68 years, Francis, along with her two daughters Joan Robinson of Greenfield and Eileen Meyers and her husband Charles of Easthampton. Barbara will long be remembered by her two grandchildren Amy Jean Dorval and Jodie Ann Zimmerman along with her 5 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Friday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story S.Hadley Funeral Home followed by a memorial service beginning at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be privately held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Wingate in West Springfield Activity Fund, 42 Prospect St., W.Springfield, MA 01089. For more details, please visit www.beersandstory.com"
