Barbara "Harrington" Lee Buskuhl

Barbara “Bobby” Lee Harrington-Buskuhl, August 12, 1931- April 24, 2017. Beloved Mother of Rick Lee Buskuhl and Terri Marie Buskuhl-Stuck, Oregon City, Oregon. Barbara was born to Lawrence W.E. and Lydia Fralich Harrington in Portland, Oregon August 12, 1931. She grew up in Portland and graduated from Roosevelt High School. She met Carl Albert Buskuhl and they married January 21, 1950. Carl and Barbara raised their children in Rockwood and were members of Rockwood United Methodist Church. They shared ownership of Baskin Robbins ice cream in the Gateway area for many years with Paul and Joyce Buskuhl. All the cousins were put to work and share many wonderful memories of scooping ice cream and wrapping cones. Barbara bowled for many years at Rockwood Bowl and later at Mt Hood Lanes, with so many friendships enduring today. She loved animals. She was popular with all the dogs at The Springs, who knew Mom would have a special treat waiting for them as they made their daily walk. Mom and Dad moved to The Springs, in April 2011. Dad passed away October 21, 2013. Mom passed away after a brief illness and late onset Alzheimers on April 24, 2017. She leaves behind her children, Rick & (Sooze) Buskuhl, Terri & (Larry) Stuck; sister Joanne Taylor of Vancouver, Washington, brother and sister in law Donald and Betty Harrington of Long Beach, Washington; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by brother Jack Harrington and sister Dorothy Devine. We want to especially thank her caregiver, Barb Habelach, for giving so much of herself to our mother. We have been truly blessed to have such love and care for our parents, over the years, from everyone at The Springs, as well. An open house to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at The Springs, Clackamas Woods, 14404 SE Webster Rd, Milwaukie, OR 97267, telephone 503 653-3422.
