Barbara A. D'Amato

"Belchertown, Barbara A. D'Amato, 83, died peacefully at home with her devoted family by her side on Monday, November 28. Born in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of William and Doris Quagliaroli. She resided in Springfield for most of her life before moving to Belchertown in 1996. Barbara enjoyed bird watching, motorcycle rides, cruise nights with her 57 Chevy, decorating her house around the holidays and time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 54 years, Anthony D'Amato, along with their children, Bill Daniel and his wife Pat and their children of Springfield, Susan Lamagna and her husband Rick, Gina Maggi all of Belchertown and Donna Rivest and her husband Jim of Ludlow along with her five grandchildren, Kristen, Danielle, Kaitlin, Melanie and Alyssa and two great grandchildren, Rachel and Emma. Her sisters, Linda Ruel and Marilyn Courtney also survive her. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Douillard and her brother, Richard Quagliaroli. The funeral service will be on Saturday, December 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St. (Rte 202). Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. A calling hour from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. will precede the service. Donations in her memory may be made to Cooley Dickinson VNA & Hospice, 168 Industrial Dr. Northampton, MA 01060. "
