Obituary Barbara Louise (Eaton) DeWitt June 20, 1929 - December 16, 2022 Barbara Eaton DeWitt, 93, passed away in the peace of her home in Colorado Springs, on Friday, December 16, 2022 as a result of complications from a fall. Barbara was born at Glockner Hospital in Colorado Springs on June 20, 1929. She was the daughter of Albert and Stella (Reid)Eaton. She graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1947. Barbara was married to her husband, Richard DeWitt on December 26, 1948. To this union 4 sons were born. Dick worked for Colorado Interstate Gas, and the family moved to various locations in Colorado, Oklahoma, and Wyoming before returning to Colorado Springs after retiring in 1991. Barb worked in many jobs in banking, education, and a power company before retiring. Barb and Dick were both active members of Wilson United Methodist Church and she still got together once a month with friends from her Class of 1947. Barbara is survived by her four sons, Rick (Karen), Rodney (Gayla), Ronald (Kim), and Robin. Also survived by grandchildren, Derrick (Christie) DeWitt, Dalas (Rex) Warr, Erin (Travis) Case, Brian DeWitt, Aaron (Lauren) DeWitt, Dylan (Catron) DeWitt, and Shelby (Sherif) DeWitt and 14 great grand children. Her brother, George (JoEllen) Eaton, and sister, Patricia Lindt also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Stella Eaton, her husband, Richard, her sister, Judy Wester, and brother, Johnny Eaton. Barbara truly made a difference in the lives of those she knew, and this was a genuine life 'well lived'. She felt blessed to have been touched by so many great people throughout her life and cherished those memories. Graveside services are pending. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson United Methodist Church, 6460 Flying W Ranch Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80919.
