Barbara Placke Doll
April 28th, 1931 - November 21st, 2020
Barbara Marie Placke Doll of Fort Mill, South Carolina; Senecaville, Ohio; Forth Worth and Houston, Texas; Denver, Colorado and Dayton, Ohio, passed away November 21, 2020 at age 89. Born on April 28, 1931 to the late James and Alice Cook. Barbara has joined her loving spouse of 30 years, Donald Everett Placke who preceded her on August 27, 1987. Daughter, Maria Placke, joined her father in 1991 after a fatal automobile accident and grandson, Jacob Goddard passed away in 2020. She is survived by her second loving spouse, Jack Stanton Doll of 30 years in addition to her seven children; Michael Placke (Tonya), Sharon Rodono (Nick), Patricia Sellers (Dave), Donna Koeing, Linda Goddard, Angela Hoffman (Jeff) and Martin Placke, along with twenty-one grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Barbara was very active in the Oil and Gas Industry. She was affiliated with Johnston Petroleum, Olentangy Petroleum, Premier Energy Corp. in various capacities including Landman, Consultant, Corporate Secretary and Director. Also Barbara served as V.P. of Land for American Petroleum, Consulting Services for Dynamic Frontiers and Manager of Property Administration at Ensource Inc. In 1989 Barbara joined Union Pacific Resources and retired in 1996. Barbara was a member of the Houston Center Club in Houston, Texas. A private Funeral Mass will be held in her honor. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Denver Colorado. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation at www.parkinson.org or at Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
