“Barbara J. Downing, 60, passed away at home March, 10th, 2010, due to health complications. She is survived by her children, Mitch and Stacy Downing, sister Beckie Jacobson, brother Dan Lawshe, and grandchildren Jordan Downing, Rudy Guerrero, Aubrey Downing, and Bailey Downing. Barbara was born in Norton, KS, July 28th, 1949 to Beck & Jan Vahling. She was the first born of three children. Her family moved to Denver, Colorado in 1955. Barbara attended Ranum High School where she met Bill Downing, her husband of 24 years.
