Dunbar, Barbara Head, 83, of St Petersburg, FL passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 after enduring an extended illness. Barbara was born in Homosassa, FL on November 18, 1934. She graduated from Crystal River High School and became a Registered Nurse followed by enjoying a successful career in Real Estate. Barbara was the widow of Ulma F Dunbar, whom she married on June 11, 1971 and was married to him 31 years until his passing. Barbara is survived by her children; Dede Dunbar of Sherman Oaks, CA, Debbie Dunbar Kniffin (Chris) of Stamford, CT and David M Dunbar (Shirley Ann) of Tallahassee, FL; her 4 grandchildren, Gavin Dunbar of Orange County, CA, Taylor Kniffin of Washington D.C., Scott Dunbar of Alpharetta, GA and Mark Dunbar (Erin) of Atlanta, GA; and her 2 great grandchildren: Elizah Dunbar and Jack Dunbar of Alpharetta, GA. A gathering will be held on Friday, July 13 from 5 - 7pm, and services will be Saturday, July 14 at 4:00pm both at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home. 2201 Dr MLK Street North in St Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Thomas Episcopal Church 1200 Snell Isle Blvd NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33704 or to The Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
