Barbara L. Hall, 93, of Columbia, South Carolina, was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on May 17, 2024. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM. Funeral services will follow in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Dennis Banks Officiating. A private family interment will follow the chapel service at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Barbara was born on March 24, 1931, in Penns Creek, Pennsylvania to the Late James and Rachael (Long) Sauers. She was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School in 1949, and Thompson Business School in Harrisburg PA in 1951. Barbara worked as a secretary for State Auto Insurance Company for 32 years. She enjoyed many hobbies such as square dancing, sewing, quilting and knitting. Barbara was a long-standing member of Shandon Baptist Church, serving faithfully there on many committees. Barbara is survived by her loving children; Jerry W. Hall, Jr. (Wife, Karen K. Hall), Lisa H. Natividad, (Husband, Rickie E. Natividad, Sr.) and Susan R. Hall. Grandchildren; Christina R. Hall, Jerry W. Hall, III (Wife, Lisa C. Hall), Rickie E. Natividad, Jr., Nicholas R. Natividad and Crista J. Natividad. She is also survived by Great Grandchildren; Ellie Marie Hall and Kadie Elizabeth Hall and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn S. Keister as well as two sons, Dennis Hall and S. Bradley Hall. The family would like to thank Dr. Fred Smith and his staff, Dr. Rodney G. Rhinehart and his staff, the Staff at Generations of Irmo, and Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate and excellent care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shandon Baptist Church, Columbia or a charity of one’s choice.
