Barbara C. (Harris) Holden, age 85, passed away at her home on Monday, October 28, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Holden. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on November 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Frances (Doucette) Harris. She lived in Sterling, Virginia most of her life and later moved to Aston Gardens in Sun City Center, Florida. She was a communicant of the Prince of Peace Church. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, traveling, bingo and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Brian and his girlfriend Karen, of Virginia; grandson Daniel of Virginia; four sisters, Pauline English of Mashpee, MA; Arlene Rice of Peabody, MA; Elizabeth Young of Tyngsboro, MA and her husband David; Ellen Richardson of Chelmsford, MA and her husband Gardner; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Richard Harris. Relatives and friends may call at the Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive Sun City Center, FL on November 8, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Her funeral Mass will follow at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 702 Valley Forge Blvd, Sun City Center, FL at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's memory to the Prince of Peace Catholic Church
