Barbara L. Inscore
November 11th, 1936 - June 19th, 2012
Barbara Lee Inscore, 76, of Caldwell, Idaho passed away at her home Tuesday, June 19, 2012 surrounded by her husband and family. Barbara was born November 11, 1936 in Glenns Ferry, Idaho the eldest daughter of Laura May and Rex W. McAnulty. She was the oldest of 4 children, Sharon (Bob) Moore, Gene (Carmelina) McAnulty, and Samuel (Janey) McAnulty. She grew up around the southern Idaho area. Barbara was married at 16 and had five children Julia (Larry) Bingham, Dale (Sharon) Peterson, Teresa May Peterson, Alan (Teresa) Peterson and Dennis Peterson. After 17 years of marriage she divorced her first husband and married Chester Dale Inscore on January 29, 1972. Three more children joined the family, Debbie Inscore, Ronald Inscore, and Toni (Gary) Flowers. Chet and Barbara celebrated their 40thanniversary this past January. Barbara earned her GED and graduated from the Twin Falls Business College with a degree in Bookkeeping. After her family was raised she continued her college education and received a second degree in Accounting from Eastern Oregon University. The most notable job she had was of course that of being a Mother; she was also a foster mother for a young girl Ellen (Marty) Hyde who became one of the family. Barbara worked for the Notus School District and following her retirement she became involved with CASA of Canyon County. She worked tirelessly (13 years) for the welfare and care of the children in Canyon and Gem County until her illness prevented her from being involved. She loved spending time in the outdoors participating in fishing, camping and gardening. Barbara had many hobbies among them reading, knitting, crocheting and sewing. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Rex; her toddler daughter, Teresa May Peterson; her son, Alan Peterson; and Debbie Inscore. She is survived by the above family members and 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Barbara. A viewing will be held Friday, June 22, 2012, 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd, Caldwell. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012, 11:00am at the Hagerman United Methodist Church, 270 E Salmon Street, Hagerman, Idaho with viewing one hour prior to service. Graveside service will follow at Hagerman Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Horizon Home Health and Hospice, especially Stephanie and Amy for their loving care for Barbara.
