Barbara Lott
January 24th, 1944 - June 26th, 2019
Barbara Harker Lott passed away unexpectedly June 26th, 2019 in an auto accident at the age of 75. She was preceded in death by her parents Isabel Jean (Simmons) and (Victor Forey) reared by Tom Anderson, and her grandson Brandon Mannikko. She is survived by her husband Richard Lott and a blending of four daughters: Dede (Bryan) Wren of Surprise, AZ; Kari (Brian) Mannikko of Federal Way, WA; Darcy (Dena) Hobbs of Auburn, WA; Jamie (Paul Bernal) Harker of Covington, WA. Grandchildren: Justin, Alyssa, Ashley, Rachel, Bailey, and Alexandria. She is also survived by her beloved sister and brothers: Pat (Connie) Anderson of Redmond, WA; Wes Anderson of Everett, WA; Donna (Terry) Houston of Auburn, WA; as well as many nieces. Barb was born and raised in Ballard, Washington. In high school, she performed modern dance and was a nationally ranked gymnast, graduating from Highline High School. She worked at Motorola Co. as West Coast Regional Manager before retiring from Boeing as a Systems Analyst. A lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she held positions of Worthy Matron and Classy Cat Deputy Instructor. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and visited numerous countries in Europe: Amsterdam, Germany, Norway, Austria, and Sweden. She fulfilled a lifelong dream when she visited France this past spring with many of her Eastern Star sisters. One of her bucket list items was to tour the Louvre museum. She was passionate about learning about the arts and history and she appreciated French cuisine. Through their annual travels to Cabo San Lucas Mexico, Barb and Rich made several new lifelong friends. Barb loved to fish, hunt, and camp from an early age. Later in life she enjoyed painting and could often be found working in her garden, spending time with her cats or spending time with friends and family. She was a matriarch who nurtured relationships between her extended families. Family was an integral part of who she was. She truly had a heart of gold. Barb’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, July 13 at United Methodist Church, 901 Wood Ave, Sumner, WA at 2:00pm. She will be interred in a private graveside service at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery in Seattle WA on July 15. In lieu of flowers Barb's family has requested memorial donations to her favorite charities.
