My Life Story Barbara Lee Lovell (Bobbie, Mommy, Grandma, GG) was born in El Paso, TX, on May 3, 1931, to Clarence (Tad) and Winona Moshier, preceded by her sister Sherry and followed by a sister Mitzi and a brother Martin. She spent her formative years growing up in Compton, CA, and later went on to graduate high school and earn an AA degree from Compton College, where she met her one and only husband, Robert Lovell. They wed in Long Beach, CA, on June 24, 1951, and were later blessed with the arrival of their firstborn and only son, Larry, June 1955; a daughter Lawney in July 1957; and a daughter Leslie in May 1963. She spent her years as a young mother and wife relishing in being a homemaker and caring for her children. She later went on to be employed as a seamstress for a short time and spent the remainder of her working life as an accounting clerk for Safeco Insurance. Upon retirement and moving to Stockton, CA, she returned to college for the fun stuff, taking courses in ceramics and pottery. She has always loved creating beautiful things from her own hands and artistic talents, from decorating her home to sewing for herself, her children, and finally her grandchildren and great grandbabies. Her artistic ability fully blossomed into a passion for creating intricate mosaics with stained glass, which she pursued until the final days of her life. Her happy times were spent gardening and creating a beautiful landscape of foliage and flowers...but happiest of all was being in the company (and partaking in the shenanigans) of her adoring family. She was full of love and enjoyed life to her fullest 83+ years….debating current political and social issues up to the day before her passing. A class act inside and out, she did it her way to the very end. She is survived by her sister Sherry, brother Martin, three children, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren…. and leaves behind a lasting legacy of the meaning of family and the power of unconditional love. *See Service Information Page*

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
