Barbara Jean Monday

February 10th, 1942 - August 17th, 2012

Barbara Monday, 70, of Nampa, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Aug. 17, 2012. She was surrounded by her children and loved ones. She was born in Seattle, Feb. 20, 1942 to Emma and Al Stevenson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob Monday and her brother Carty, and is survived by her siblings JoAnn, Maxine, and Raymond. Barbara is survived by four children: Richard, James, Kelly, and Tina; seven grandchildren: Jessica, Jennifer, Randi, Ashley Renee, Ashley Marie, Tyler, and Kellee, and six great-grandchildren. Barbara had a passion for life and enjoyed camping, fishing, puzzles, movies, and really good food. She also had a great love for animals and is survived by her golden retriever ChiChi and her cat Tiki. The family would like to thank all of her friends and staff at Park Place Assisted Living in Nampa for being so kind and loving to our mother. We know she spoke so highly of them all. In 1984, Flahiff Chapels expanded its facility with the addition of Canyon and Owyhee County’s first crematory.
