Barbara Murray

Barbara Barbara Ann (Vickers) Murray, age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning December 13, 2016. Barbara was born in Portsmouth Ohio, March 16, 1937. She attended Bethel Tate High School where she met and later married her soul mate the late Larry A. Murray. Larry and Barbara moved to Florida in 1963 residing in West Tampa until they moved to Land O’ Lakes in 1972 where they remained. Barbara was involved with her children’s sports events and could either be found coaching a game or being a super fan on the sidelines. In her free time Barbara enjoyed playing Bingo , being at the beach taking walks and watching the beautiful Florida sunrises and sunsets. Barbara enjoyed cooking and making her famous chicken & dumplings. Barbara worked at the Pasco County School Board where she spent 20+ years retiring in 1995. She is predeceased by her loving parents, Charles W. Vickers Jr. and Jessie Ann Vickers, and her soul mate the late Larry A. Murray and her younger brother the late Charles Vickers III. She is survived by her brother Eddie J. Vickers and his wife Erin Vickers , her three children, Larry E. Murray and his wife Joan Letteney of Spring Hill, Florida, Jackie K. Murray of Wesley Chapel, Florida and Michael T. Murray and his wife Kimberly Murray of Winter Springs, Florida. Her granddaughters, Amber Farnham of Tampa Florida, Amanda Farnham of Wesley Chapel Florida , Megan Murray Winter Springs, Florida and Roni Murray of Deltona Florida her Great Grandson Carson W. Moon and many nieces and nephews. Our hearts are heavy but we find comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her beloved husband, parents and brother. There will be a private service for the immediate family.
