Barbara Ann Nichols

Obituary Barbara Ann Nichols, 74, of Fort Collins passed away April 7, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. She was born December 10, 1942 to Ernest and Ann (Kahl) Taulman in Lamar, Colorado. She was married to Irvin Nichols and the two had three children together before his passing early in life. Barbara was a wonderful, strong, loving mother who managed to raise her children, Cindy, Teresa and Rick, on her own. She enjoyed spending time with all of her grand, great grand and great great grandchildren. Barbara loved trips to Estes Park to see the mountains and bird watch when she was not feeding her humming birds from her own porch at home. Barbara also loved planting and caring for her flowers at home. She was also active with the American Legion. Her three children are extremely proud to have had such a strong, hard working mother that was unwilling to give up on life until the very end. They know she is with God now, free from pain and being well taken care of. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother. She is survived by her 3 children, brother, 2 sisters, 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
