Barbara Patton

Barbara J. Patton, 74, of Lake Suzy, Florida passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte. Mrs. Patton was born November 28, 1936 in Shelby, Ohio to Walter C. and Opal (nee Payton) Jones and moved to Plant City, FL from Port Clinton, Ohio before coming to this area in 1984. She was a homemaker and was also a member of Fort Ogden Baptist Church in Fort Ogden. Mrs. Patton is survived by her loving husband, Eugene G. Patton of Lake Suzy; sons, Kevin S. (Dusty J.) Patton and Philip E. (Valerie R.) Patton, all of Zephyrhills, FL; stepsons, Edwin E. Patton of Mansfield, OH and James E. (Shelly) Patton of Lake Suzy; daughters, Phyllis A. (Donald) Conn of Lake Suzy and Kimberly S. (Matthew) Benne of Fort Wayne, IN; stepdaughter, Frances Taylor of Johnsville, OH; brothers, David (Linda) Jones of Myrtle Beach, SC and Walter (Charlene) Jones and Gary (JoAnn) Jones, all of Mansfield, OH; sister, Carol (Billy) Tackett of Mansfield, OH; 28 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Connie Cline and Betty Hess, and numerous family and friends. Family will receive friends from 10-11:00AM on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Fort Ogden Baptist Church, 9500 SW Hull Avenue in Fort Ogden. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00AM.
