Barbara Ellen Pillow

Barbara Ellen Pillow, 83, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away November 29, 2022 at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina. She was born on April 10, 1939 in Passaic, New Jersey to the late Andrew and Edna (Peer) Van Wagenen. Barbara was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in West Columbia. She loved her family and always enjoyed family gatherings where she always made the best banana pudding and red velvet cookies. She loved her step-children and grandchildren unconditionally and was always willing to help anyone in need. She will be missed by her family and friends. Barbara is survived by: her step-children; David Pillow (Mary Pat) of Columbia SC, Ed Pillow of Hopkins SC, Leigh Dreamer of Columbia SC, step-daughter-in-law Janie Pillow of Lexington, SC, her grandchildren; Jason Pillow (Charlene), Susan Gordon (Torin), David Pillow, and Amanda Pillow. She was preceded in death by: her husband Wise Elliott Pillow, step-son Wise E. Pillow Jr. (Joe), step-daughter Blenza Sue Pillow and step- daughter-in-law Libby Pillow. The Family will hold a Memorial Service at Shiloh UMC at a later date. South Carolina Cremation Society is assisting the family.
