Barbara Ann Pitts - Gardner

Mrs. Barbara Ann Martin Pitts Gardner, age 83 a resident of Auburndale passed away Wed. March 6, 2019 at Good Shepherd Hospice with her family at her side. Mrs. Gardner was born April 21, 1935 in Auburndale, FL. to Ivy Irwin and Maude (Bowen) Martin. She was a lifetime Auburndale resident and graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1954. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Auburndale. Barbara was a Polk County School Bus Driver and worked at the Auburndale Publix Deli for 10 years until retiring. She enjoyed shopping, watching football (favorite Miami Dolphins & AHS Football), going to the race track and watching her family race most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Barbara is survived by her loving family; Husband of 15 yrs.: Tommy Gardner of Auburndale 2 Sons: Mike (Tanda) Pitts of Auburndale Greg (Cheryl) Pitts of Lake Wales 2 Daughters: Michele (Shelly O’Grattan) Pitts of Winter Haven Debbie (Kevin) Leising of Davenport 7 Grandchildren: Brian, Brittany, Cody, Ashley, Kyle, Josh and Lacey Visitation will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Kersey Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Auburndale Memorial Park.
