Barbara M. Ryan

Barbara Ryan, of Berlin; formerly of Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. She was aged 85 years. Legacy Barbara will be remembered as a loving, attentive & generous woman who always placed the needs of others ahead of her own. She was born in Hollansburg, Ohio and raised in Richmond, Indiana. Barbara shared 50 years of marriage with her husband, Jim before his passing in 2011 and raised four children that complimented their love story. While raising her children, the family moved frequently, and she managed to lead her family safely on each new adventure. She worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Special Education for the West Deptford School District for 20 years. Away from her work, Barbara enjoyed Theatrical performances; gardening, reading, traveling and cheering on her beloved Philadelphia Eagles through the good and not so good years. Barbara will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved this special woman. Family Barbara is the beloved wife of the late James Ryan; loving mother of Kimberly (Peter) Monico, Teresa (Gerardo) Brucker, Elizabeth (Kirk) Fondy and Michael (Nancy) Ryan; devoted grandmother of Jennifer (Libor Michel), Joseph (Alicia Steffney), Joseph, John, Rebecca, Olivia, Trace and Alec; dear sister of Richard Gilmore; great grandmother of James, Charlotte & Olivia Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation after 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury; where her Memorial Ceremony will follow at 11:30 AM. Barbara's family requests that guests attending her gathering and ceremony please wear face coverings for the benefit of everyone's health. Interment will be private.
