Barbara Lee Schmidt

Barbara Lee Schmidt, née Geiger, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2024, in Kenneth City, Florida, at the age of 78. Born on June 29, 1946, in Midland, Michigan, Barbara dedicated her life to her family, embodying the roles of a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring homemaker. Her professional life included valuable administrative contributions to both a local church and a clinic, reflecting her commitment to service and organization.

Barbara’s life was marked by her warm personality and her unwavering dedication to her family. She is survived by her children, Steven John and wife Kasey, Susanna “Susie” Marie and husband Michael Fulton, and Michele Anne and husband Joey Lang. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Steven, Kristina and husband David Clay, Dylan, Noah and wife Landri, Patty B, Nicolas, Jake, and Jena, and great-grandchild Aero. She also leaves behind her sisters-in-laws Monika Aylward, Maria Spiess, Felicitis Erdmann, Theresa Franklin, and brothers-in-law John, Christopher, and Bernard Schmidt.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael J. Schmidt, her grandson Matthew, her sister Clema Kay Przemytski, brother-in-law Thomas Schmidt, and sister-in-law Barbara Bohland.

A memorial service will be held at Reese Funeral Home in Seminole, Florida, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, with funeral services to follow at 6:00 PM. Reese Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time. Barbara’s life and legacy will be cherished in the memories of all who knew her.
