Barbara Dorris Shulman

Barbara Krentzman Shulman, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8th, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 28, 1935 in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, to Joseph and Esther Krentzman. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis. She is survived by her son Joe (Judy) Shulman, her daughter, Karen Shulman, and her son Matthew (Tami) Shulman. She is also survived by her grandchildren Elise (James) Pone, Curtis Shulman, Micaela and Louis Shulman, and Lauren and David Cantor, and her great-grandchildren, Jonah and Avery Pone. Barbara's happiest times were her days as a wife, mother, and homemaker. Prior to her marriage, she served as an executive secretary for U.S. Senator Jacob Javits of New York, worked as an office administrator at the Penn State University Polymer Science department for ten years, as well as assisting with her family's business. She held leadership positions with March of Dimes, volunteered for various charities throughout her life, and was a member of Congregation Ner Tamid. She cared about others and always lived her life to the fullest. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:40 am at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
