Barbara Anne Thomson of Merritt Island, FL joined her Lord and Savior on May 16, 2012. Born Barbara Anne Buls on July 12, 1934, the daughter of Herman and Theresa Buls of Garland, NE was the youngest of eight children. Barbara graduated from Concordia High School in Seward, NE and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. She joined in Heaven her husband, Dr. James M Thomson Jr. who she married in 1962 and her son, Mark Paul Thomson. Barbara is survived by her sons, James, John, Michael, and Matthew; daughter-in-laws, Donna, Beth, Jennifer and Shannon; sister Hilda Kenwood, brother and sister-in-lawAl and Velma Buls and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved and adored her. Barbara was a beloved Mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly. Barbara was a Dietician at Cook County Hospital in Chicago when she got married and started a family. After raising her five sons, Barbara worked at Cather Pound Dining Hall at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln prior to retiring in 1995 and eventually moving permanently to Merritt Island, Florida in 1998. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Merritt Island, FL and a former member of Christ Lutheran Church in Lincoln, NE. There will be a memorial service at Christ Lutheran Church in Lincoln on May 23 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lutheran
