Barbara Nita Weber

Barbara was born on June 16th 1955 in Beaugency, France and passed away on March 16th 2017 in Lacey WA. Barbara was born in France to Robert J. Catlin Jr. and AnnaMarie (Sobczak) Catlin. She moved to Tacoma, Washington when she was a toddler. Barb graduated from Mount Tahoma High School and shortly thereafter moved to Lacey WA. She worked for 30 years at a job she loved at the Department of Licensing, she seemingly knew everyone there. Where coworkers became friends, and some of those friends grew to be family. Barbara is my Mom. She was everything to her family. She was our world, and we were hers. A soul full of selfless love. She was my best friend, a parent to my kids, the best grandma I could have ever possibly imagined or wished for; a provider for the things I couldnt provide, the balance on this uneven life, a pure genuine love, and a very kind person in a very cruel world. She had a love for life, like no other person I have ever come across and ALWAYS looked on the bright side of everything to make the best out of the worst situations. She had a heartfelt belief that nobody is better than anyone else and people should only be judged on their character and actions. She loved nature, wildlife, and being outdoors in the fresh air, and loved it when it was raining or stormy. Her love for her grandchildren could never be put in words. Her relationship with them was loving, one of a kind, and truely her favorite parts of her day was with them. Barbara was so much more than this obituary could ever express. She embodied strength, beauty, kindness, peace, and most of all love. Barb is survived by her loving daughter Mary; her 4 precious grandbabies Joey, Angel, Isaiah, and Ayla; her chosen family Eldridge, Bryant, and Grace; and numerous friends in her life.
