Barbara Quinn Wheeler, 63, passed away on September 14, 2024, in Winston-Salem, NC. Born on February 10, 1961 in Malverne, NY, Barbara graduated from Dulaney High School (Timonium, MD) and Elon College.
Barbara was renowned for her generous spirit, humor, and deep encouragement of others. Her creative talents were expressed through crafting, beading, painting, and jewelry making, bringing beauty into the lives of those around her. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Barbara's love extended beyond her family to all she met. She was a pillar of strength and support, often volunteering and lending a hand wherever needed.
Barbara leaves behind her husband, Kenneth Wheeler; her children, Brian Wheeler (Lori), Colton Wheeler, and Sarah Wheeler DeConinck (Jacob); and her beloved grandchildren, Marshall Wheeler, Georgia Wheeler, and Wilder Wheeler.
She is also survived by her siblings, Mary Anne Quinn, Elizabeth Quinn, Patricia Rubin (Richard), John Charles Quinn, III (Ute), William Quinn (Linda), Eileen Donohue (Stephen), and Peter Quinn (Gillian), and numerous nieces and nephews Kevin Higgins, Jr., Daniel Rubin (Conor), Jonathan Rubin (Lindsay), Matthew Rubin, Finley Quinn, Sjonnie Quinn, Colby Quinn, Emily Davis (Matthew), Margaret Quinn, Joseph Quinn, Grace Quinn, John Donohue (Monika), Patrick Donohue, Corey Donohue, Peter Quinn and Catherine Quinn. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, John Charles Quinn, Jr. and Jane Veronica Quinn.
Barbara's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the enduring strength of familial bonds. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege to know her.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 10:30am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, which is located at 616 S Cherry St, Kernersville, NC 27284.
