Barry Frank Goodman
February 9th, 1946 - November 14th, 2020
Barry Frank Goodman, 74, of Melbourne, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 14, at Rockledge Regional Hospital after suffering a massive heart attack. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deborah, and his daughter, Erica Goodman, and her life partner Patrick Fox, all of Melbourne, Florida. Also survived by sister, Abby Hanselin and her husband Mike of Denver, Colorado; and brother-in-law David Shapiro and wife Janet of Melbourne; and nephew Jacob Shapiro of Littleton, Massachussettes, and niece Hannah Shapiro of Boston, Massachussetes. He is predeceased in death by parents Charles and Florence Goodman. Also predeceased by in-laws Renee and Harlan Shapiro. Barry was born in Brooklyn, New York where he was raised and educated and obtained an Associated Degree in accounting, his field of expertise until retired in 2008. His locations professionally included Atlanta, Georgia and Houston, Texas. He relocated his family to Melbourne, Florida 10 years ago and has enjoyed a very happy retirement there with his many friends in his shuffleboard club. He also enjoyed many live musical performances and long walks outdoors. A service in his memory will be Tuesday, November 17 at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home and Crematory, 5400 Village Drive, Viera, Florida. Visitation 3:00 to 4:00pm and service at 4:00pm. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, Brevard County, Florida.
