Bartholomew "Bart" Bubnell age 78 died at home on July 1st, 2024. He was the oldest child born to Julius and Lena Columbia Bubnell. 

He spent 30 years as an Office Manager for a Wall Street investment firm.  He served 2 years as a Medic in the United States Army.

In 1968 he married his childhood sweetheart Lois Kaupke. They made their home on Long Island, N.Y where Bart served as an AMT with the Elmont Fire Department. In 1999 he retired to Hilton Head where he gave much of his time to the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.  He was a recipient of the WSAV Jefferson Award and the John Calamari Humanitarian Award. 

He is survived by his wife; Lois Bubnell of 56 years and his sister; Judith Bubnell Russell of N. Babylon, NY.  He was a kind, loving man who would do anything for anyone.  Despite his medical challenges, he was never without a smile.

A Mass will be held on Thursday, July 11th at 10 AM at St. Francis by the Sea and inurnment in the Church columbarium will follow.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Francis by the Sea General Offertory or the charity of one's choice.
