Beatrice Ryans

Beatrice Jane Lockhart Ryans, 76, formerly of Church Hill passed away on Thursday evening. She was born on November 7, 1939 and was born into eternity on March 17, 2016 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN. She was born and lived in Hawkins County the majority of her life and had resided for the past 6 years being cared for by her loving son, Glenn. The beautiful daughter of the late Hattie and Otis Honaker and Nathan and Blanche Lockhart. Beatrice was born into a very large family that was filled with love and support throughout her entire life. Her loving and nurturing ways proved to be very helpful in her caregiving of several of Kingsport's dignitaries. After numerous years of service, she later retired from Eastman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. If you ever met her, you knew that you had better have a hug ready. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Ryans; brothers, Harlan Lockhart and Jim Lockhart; sisters, Stella Michals, Ruby Williamson, Lois Austin and Vivian Lockhart; granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Morrison and son-in-law, David Morrison. Surviving are children, Glenn Ryans & wife, Cheryl, Brentwood, TN, Julie Pyle & husband Mack, Kingsport, TN, Tony Ryans & wife Shannon, Nashville, TN, Tammy Manis & husband Roger, Rogersville, TN; grandchildren, Glenn Douglas Ryans, Jr., Kathryn Beasley & husband Tracy, Christopher Ryans & wife, Amber, Steven Hayes & wife Tammy, Stephanie Reed & husband Jerry, Jr., Charley Ryans, Martina Manis; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Hayes, Ryan Hayes, and Emma Reed; sisters, Mary Fields, Kingsport, TN, Joni Hamilton & husband, Bill, Bellville, OH, Christine Bowman & husband, Geronia, Sarasota, FL, Nadine Weigel & husband, Richard, Bradenton, FL and Janice Webb & husband, Bill, Church Hill, TN; four brothers, Dr. Amos Lockhart & wife, Daphne, Kingsport, TN, Dan Lockhart & wife, Susan, The Villages, FL, Dale Lockhart & wife Pam, Bradenton, FL, Larry Honaker & wife, Gail, Church Hill, TN; along with several nieces and nephews The family will receive friends from 1 - 3 pm on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 1115 Hwy 11W, Church Hill, TN. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel at 3 pm. Burial will follow in the Zion Cemetery, Baileyton, TN. Tony Ryans, Steven Hayes, Doug Ryans, Chris Ryans, Tracey Beasley, Jeffery Webb, Jackie Ryans and Shirl McCullough, will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, Love the Children, C/O Vermont United Methodist Church, 1817 Bloomingdale Road, Kingsport, TN 37660 Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is proudly serving the Ryans family.
