Beatrice Faye Van Deest, 79 of Fort Lupton passed away February 10, 2014 from surgery complications. She was born September 9th 1934 in the family farmhouse in Fort Lupton, Colorado to Eric †œBud†� and Vera (Smith) McCannon. She was the third of seven sisters born to the McCannon family. She married Theodore †œBill†� Van Deest Jr. in August 1954 in Denver, Colorado. Her father and mother, sisters, Juanita McCannon, Nola Burge, Adena Christman, Mickey Boldt and her daughter April Van Deest have preceded Beatrice in death. Beatrice is survived by her loving husband †œBill†� married 59 years and sisters Lily Droullard (husband Keith) of Arvada, Margie Haake (husband Ron) of Ft Lupton and two children, son Robert Van Deest (wife Genni) of Longmont her daughter Kathleen Tow of Gillette, Wyoming and five grandchildren; Nathan Van Deest (wife Nikol), Terry Van Deest, Amy Hall (husband Kyle), Heather Young (husband Calvin), Ryan Van Deest and six great-grandchildren Zach Hall, Faith Hall, Mathew Gardner, Hope Young, Mason Van Deest and Alexandria Young. Beatrice †œBea†� enjoyed life to the fullest with her family, friends and did many activities such as gardening, quilting, along with being very creative in various crafts and hobbies. Bea was active in clubs like Current Events, TOPS, Ft Lupton garden club, quilting, paper-doll clubs and Eastern Star Unity Chapter 97. Bea had a deep passion for many years since very early childhood for paper-doll collecting and designing and has collected and shared her many unique designs around the country. A viewing will be held February 20th 3:00 - 7:00 pm at the Aspen Mortuary 6580 E. 73rd Ave Commerce City, CO 80022 Memorial service celebrating Beatrice†™s life will be held February 21st, 10:00 am at the Rinn United Methodist Church 3783 Bella Rosa Parkway (WCR20) Frederick, CO 80504 Interment will be at the Fort Logan National Cemetery Memorial contributions may be made to the Rinn United Methodist Church
