Beatrice Yngoc Bacon, 99, passed peacefully in her home Friday, May 26th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Beatrice was born on October 1923 in Waipahu, Hawaii. She was the oldest of seven children and at age 9, she moved to the Philippines. In the 1980s, she then moved with her family from the Philippines to Salinas, CA and has lived there ever since. Beatrice worked in the fields the first few years of her life in California. When her children joined her in California, they supported her so that she could stop working in the fields and instead she helped raise her grandchildren. Beatrice played an important part in the upbringing of all her grandchildren. She enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life such as dancing, cooking, gardening, and sewing. She enjoyed attending family gatherings and being with her loved ones. As the family’s matriarch, Beatrice was known as “Queen B” because she was so loved by her two descendant generations. She accepted everyone for who they were and was a shining example of unconditional love and kindness and was greatly respected and loved by her family for it. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Fidel Yngoc, her sons Alexander and Romulo, and her daughter Clarita. She is survived by her children Anita, Lolita, Warlita, Mercedita, Delta, Tita, Junita, Teddy Sr., Sony, Ariel, and her 100+ grandchildren. Visitation will be held, Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas from 1-5 PM. A Rosary will be said at the Mortuary Tuesday at 3:00 PM. A mass will be held, Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 at the Madonna Del Sasso Church, 320 E Laurel Dr., Salinas at 10:00 AM, followed by the Burial at The Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Prunedale.

Healey Mortuary

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
