Becky Winger passed away May 11, 2014 in Olympia, Washington, after a short but fierce battle with cancer. She was 49 years old. Becky was born April 8, 1965 to Larry Hawley and Judy Blackmore. She was a graduate of the Class of 1983 at Rochelle Township High School in Rochelle, Illinois. She married Kent Winger on March 11, 1994, in Rochelle. Most recently, Becky worked for Washington State Department of Labor and Industries in Tumwater, Washington. Formerly, she worked for Capital Medical Center in Olympia. Becky loved to laugh and have a good time and always encouraged others to do the same. At family gatherings, it was a safe bet that you’d find her with her camera in tow, taking pictures of all the festivities. She also the loved scenery of Washington State and treasured the opportunity to take in the beauty of Mt. Rainier. Becky loved the challenge of a good puzzle, took much joy in admiring the garden, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Kent; son, Steven Buchwald of Olympia; daughters, Sarah Winger of Tacoma, Ashley Wilson of Olympia, and Hannah Winger of Olympia; and one grandchild.
