Belinda Mullinax Guerrero
June 19th, 1950 - January 6th, 2021
Jimmy Belinda (Grainger) Guerrero, 70, of Columbia, SC, died on Wednesday January 6, 2021 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. Born June 19, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Doctor Leon Grainger and Joretta Mae (Taylor) Grainger. Belinda was a nurse, paramedic, and was a passionate volunteer in a variety of ministries in her church: prison ministry, youth ministry, and many, many others. Most recently, she went back to college at Columbia International University, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in 2018, and would have graduated in May 2021 with her Master’s Degree in Religious Studies. Belinda was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Louis Wadford. She is survived by her siblings: Pat Flowers, James Grainger, Jon Grainger, and Lynn Poseskie; her daughter, Wendy (Wadford) Cook, of Hickory, NC; her daughter, Deena (Wadford) Gamble, of Goose Creek, SC; a step-daughter, Linda Jo (Wadford) Branton; grandchildren: David Michael Chapman, Kaitlyn and Colin Gamble, Zoey and Buddy Wadford, Ross and John Cook; step-grandchildren: Amanda (Branton) Brown, Carrie Beth Branton, and William Branton; and 12 great grandchildren. A memorial service for Belinda will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 9, 2020 at Eau Claire Baptist Church, 4427 N. Main St., Columbia, SC. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ministry that Belinda was deeply involved in: Koinonia of Columbia, 4427 N. Main St., Columbia, SC 29203. Final arrangements have been handled by Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, SC.
