Benigno Chuca
February 13th, 1931
Benigno Gomez Chuca, 86, longtime resident of the Salinas valley, passed away on September 29, 2017 in Salinas. He was born on February 13, 1931 in Durango, Mexico. Benigno previously worked in agriculture as a farmer for over 60 years. Benigno is survived by, his wife of 67 years, Rafaela Chuca daugthers, Maria Santos, Socorro Manzo, Yolanda Chuca, Sonia Chuca and Leticia Chuca sons, Benigno Chuca Jr., Benito Chuca, Bonifacio Chuca and Mario Chuca sisters, Graciela Baldivia, Lorenza Avelar and Janie Castrillo brother, Enrique Chuca numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive. He is preceded in death by, his son, Apolinar Chuca, grandson, Sammy Chuca and great-grandson, Salvador Manzo III.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
