Lexington, Kentucky Benjamin Ryan Bennett, 35, of Port Orange, Florida, formerly of Lexington, died Friday, January 23, 2015 in Port Orange. He was born in Lexington, son of Durrett Michael Bennett of Lexington and Mary Ryan Brown of Lexington. He was a former baker and manager at Magee's bakery. He was a music enthusiast and played the guitar and drums. He had a deep love for the University of Kentucky sports and the Cincinnati Bengals. He was truly one of a kind with a hilarious personality. Surviving besides his parents are his step-mother; Carol Donnelly Bennett, wife of Michael, his step-father; Richard Edward Brown, husband of Mary, his six sisters; Shelby Elizabeth {Jacob} Hartlage, Sarah Roseanne Brown, Kelly Jean {Edward} VanHoose, Lynne Ann Birmingham, all of Lexington, Emily Anne {Jeremy} Edwards, Louisville, and Kathryn Blythe Brown, his brother; Jonathan Simms Brown, his niece; Ella Rose Hartlage, his nephew; Edmund Roy VanHoose, all of Lexington, and his grandmother; Anne Caldwell of Daytona Beach, Florida. Funeral Information A Gathering of family and friends will be 1-4 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Clark Legacy Center Brannon Crossing with his Celebration of Life service to follow at 4 p.m. conducted by Dr. Bill Moore.
