Obituary Benjamin Sean Cole aka "Papa" left this earth on December 16, 2021, in Colorado Springs CO He was born on March 8, 1968 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Priscilla Cole and Benjamin Franklin Cole. Ben was renowned for his not holding back opinions and sarcastic sense of humor. He had a knack for telling it like it is. He always told you the truth even if it wasnt what you wanted to hear. With that said he was a strong person with a heart of gold and a smile that lit up a room. His love knew no bounds, He immediately loved and accepted all who came into his life. Ben was never one to back down from a challenge as he stepped up to raise seven kids from two separate families that he integrated into one. His words of encouragement, wisdom and comfort, kept everyone in line, and taught everyone how to be productive adults. Ben loved teaching his grandkids to fish, camp, and shoot. As a professional mechanic he shared his love for fixing cars with his children and grandchildren. He loved sharing everything with his grandkids and having them become self-sufficient for the many challenges of the world. He will miss seeing his 15 sweetest grandchildren Brayleigh and baby boy, Shanelle, Savannah, Benjamin, Haylee, Anthony, Andrew, Alexzander, Landon, Carter, Trevor, Graham, Madilyn and Kennady grow up to be the incredible people they are meant to be. Bens grandkids were the light of his life and his world revolved around them. Ben joined the army at the age of 18 and served his country for four years in support of operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He was stationed at Fort Carson, fell in love with the mountains and decided to make Colorado Springs his home. He was employed at Atmel/ MicroChip for over twenty years where he worked his way up from an Operator to an Equipment Engineer. Ben was a vital asset to the company. He was loved and respected by everyone who had the pleasure of working with him. He leaves behind his loving wife Michelle Hoffman of 18 wonderful years, and his mother Priscilla Cole of Poughkeepsie, NY.
