Benjamin Edward Moore
March 21st, 1915 - June 4th, 2011
Benjamin Edward Morgan passed away at Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson, California, on June 4, 2011, at the age of 96. He was born on March 21, 1915, in Williston, North Dakota. Ben served in the Air Force during World War II and completed 20 years of military service. He then completed a 20-year career with the United States Postal Service while living in San Antonio, Texas. He and his wife, Jeanne, moved to Rialto, California, where Ben worked for H & R Block. He retired to Jackson in 1988 to be closer to some of his family. He then offered his volunteer tax services at the Senior Center. His two dogs, Pepper and Taffy, were his constant companions after the passing of his beloved wife, Jeanne in 1986. For the past five years he resided at Amador Residential Care where he was treated excellently by the staff and residents. Ben was the youngest of 10 children. He was preceded in death by his nine sisters as well as his wife, Jeanne. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews who looked forward to spending time with him over the years. He enjoyed researching family history and volunteered in the Family History Center as well as serving as the financial clerk in the Jackson Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Interment will be at the Riverside National Cemetery on June 15, 2011, in Riverside, California. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.danerimortuary.com and signing the guest book.
