Bernard Paul Burnett, 88, passed away March 2, 2012 in Rockledge, FL. Bernard was born in La Grande, Oregon on February 5, 1924 to Obediah and Laura Burnett. He moved to Brevard County from Huntsville, Alabama in 1960. Bernard was the Treasury Secretary of Indian River Isles, a member of ROMEOS and the Power Squadron. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Linda; daughter Cheryl (Roland) Burnett; son Doug (Jean) Burnett; daughter Patty Baccus; son Terrell (Chris) Huggins; son Michael (Althea) Huggins; daughter Lori (Brian) Moser; seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at Beach Funeral Home - West Chapel in Melbourne/Suntree on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with services to begin at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wuesthoff Hospice House, 661 Eyster Blvd, Rockledge, FL 32955 in Bernard's name.
