Bernard K. Consolini
October 10th, 1934 - June 20th, 2021
Belchertown-Bernard K. Consolini, 86, passed away after a short illness on June 20, 2021 at home with his family surrounding him. Born October 10, 1934 in Springfield, he was the son of John and Fortuna F. (Santaniello) Consolini. Kikie grew up and lived in Springfield all of his life until he moved to Belchertown 15 years ago, with the love of his life, his wife, Sue. He proudly served his country in the US Army and worked for over 20 years at the former Package Machinery in East Longmeadow. He then retired from Spectra Management, where he worked as a job developer. In his leisure, Kikie enjoyed drawing, painting, music and cooking. His greatest joy, was time spent with his family. In 2012, Kikie was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Mae Sue Consolini. His love will forever remain with his children, John Consolini and his wife Nina of Hanson, MA, Diana Shea and husband John of Belchertown and Deb Carabetta and partner Carol of Orange, CT. Kikie also leaves his dear grandchildren, Joseph, Thomas and Michael Shea, Victoria, Anthony and Vincent Consolini and siblings, Margaret O'Day and her husband, Tom of CA and best friend and younger brother, John Consolini and his wife, Fran of Springfield, uncle Pete Consolini of East Longmeadow along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Pauline Donnelly and Joe Consolini. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 29th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home with a Funeral Mass Wednesday, June 30th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church. Burial will follow at MA Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Friends and family may gather at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home to pay final respects and form the funeral procession. For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory to the Belchertown Firefighters Association/EMS PO Box 1043, Belchertown, MA 01007.
