Bernell I. Doschadis
August 3rd, 1923 - April 14th, 2015
Bernell I. Doschadis, of Waukesha, age 91, passed away peacefully at Waukesha Springs on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Bernell was born on August 3, 1923 to Albert and Ida (Roehl) Doschadis in Waterloo, WI. She was a graduate of Waterloo High School and Madison Business College. Bernell worked for the Ronald Mattox Accounting Firm in Madison for 1 ½ years and then for the state of Wisconsin, starting at the Wisconsin Industrial School for Boys in Waukesha and then transferring to the Wisconsin School for Boys in Wales. She retired from there on August 14, 1984, after 40 ½ years. She retired as the Assistant Business Manager. Bernell's special interests were decorative painting, genealogy, and photography. She was active in her church, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, and a member of the former Dorcas Society, Ladies Aid, and the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her sister, Edith Hatch, age 101, of Janesville; nieces and nephews Betty (Carl) Schroeder of Waterloo, Barbara Duwe (David) Smith of Bloomfield, CT, Marian Duwe (Ed) Hollingshead of Littleton, CO, Jack Duwe of Madison, Terry Hatch of Janesville, Wayne Hensler of Waterloo, Walter (Shirley) Hensler of Reeseville, David (Jeannine) Hensler of Sun Prairie, Ruth Henning of Waterloo, Bernice (Hans) Dunneisen of Waterloo, and Bonnie Filter of Waterloo; and special friends, Rosemary Loesch, Ruth Birkholz, and Sr. Kathy DeQuardo. She is also survived by many great and grand nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Leslie Doschadis, Ethelyn Schultz, Vera Hensler, and Pearl Duwe. The visitation for Bernell will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1052 Whiterock Ave. Waukesha, 53186. The burial for Bernell will follow the service at 2:30 p.m. at Waterloo City Cemetery. Memorials in Bernell's name are appreciated to the American Cancer Society, (P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123) or Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, (see address above).
