Bernice L. Sanders, 86, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 5, 2023. A celebration of her life will be held in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 5:30 PM. A visitation will be held one hour prior at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Wednesday, September 13, 2023 between 4:30 PM until 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request that donations be made in Loving Memory of Mrs. Sanders to Leukemia Research Foundation or Alzheimer's Association. Bernice was born September 15, 1936 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Mr. Joseph Lamb and Mrs. Annie E. Warner Lamb. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by 6 siblings, and her beloved husband, William "Bill" Sanders. Bernice enjoyed nature and the beauty of her surrounding. She visited many areas of the southeast to delight in seeing waterfalls and covered bridges, including the Great Smoky Mountains. Her grandson was highly favored and the true apple of her eye. Bernice has a keen gift of crocheting and created numerous blankets to share with others. Left to cherish her memory on this earth is her daughter, Renee (Matthew Thomas) Veber; grandchildren: Sean (Tori) Veber, Nichole Thomas; great grandchild, Jade Thomas; sister, Faye Bell; and a host of extended family and friends.
